Basics of Estate and Tax Planning (On-Demand)

This course provides an introduction to key topics surrounding estate planning and tax planning. Specifically, this course will overview the estate and gift tax regime, along with the basics of generation-skipping transfer taxation. The program will also provide information about income tax planning from a trusts and estates perspective, such as by detailing basic step-up considerations and the taxation of trusts. Key concepts will also be introduced to help clients put together a tax-efficient estate plan, such as by discussing disclaimer trusts and how to deal with typical creditors during a trust or estate administration.
