In this course, we discuss the exciting new trends in the legalized gaming industry in the US. The Supreme Court’s May 2018 decision in Murphy v. NCAA opened the door to state legalization of sports betting, which is now a rapidly expanding field. Internet gaming continues to grow in the US, and when internet gaming starts taking place on sports, the entire paradigm of gaming could shift. We’ll explore the state of the industry, as well as the legal issues that remain outstanding as the industry moves to its next phase.
