Jeffrey L. Carson, J.D., LL.M., CPWA®


Jeff Carson is a Senior Vice President with Diversified Trust Co. in the firm’s Nashville office. As a member of the client services team, Jeff coordinates and leads the Firm’s Wealth Strategy planning services in the Nashville office. Immediately prior to joining Diversified Trust, Jeff was a Senior Vice President/Senior Trust Officer with U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where he served as the senior fiduciary officer for the region. Additional previous experience includes serving as Of Counsel/Managing Attorney for the Tennessee office of Vasallo Law, P.L., a Miami-based boutique tax and estate planning law firm, as Vice President/Trust Advisor for The Northern Trust Company, as Assistant Legal Counsel for Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company, and as an Attorney with Page, Kruger & Holland, PA., a boutique trial law firm in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mississippi and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Mississippi College School of Law. He has also received the Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Estate Planning from the University of Miami Law School. Jeff regularly speaks and presents on a variety of legal topics to professional and consumer groups in the region. Further, Jeff is actively involved with numerous community and professional organizations, including service as a Board Member of The Westhaven Foundation, The Planned Giving Council of Middle Tennessee, for which he currently serves as Program Chair and President-Elect. He is also serving with the Executive Council of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, for which he served as Chair in 2016-2017. Jeff is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Bar Association, the Williamson County Bar Association and The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. Jeff is currently serving a five-year term as a Commissioner on the Historic Zoning Commission for the City of Franklin, Tennessee and is a Member of the District 6 Investigation Committee of the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners.
