Resolving Title Defects Before Closing (Retired)

Real estate professionals frequently face a myriad of problems at the closing table. This presentation identifies some of the common problems encountered at closing including mechanic’s liens, encroachments, tax issues, access issues, clerical errors, legal description problems, breaks in the chain of title, mortgage relate defects, and real covenant and deed restriction concerns, and provides suggestions on how best to avoid/mitigate them.
