Josh Grubaugh performs corporate litigation as a Special Counsel with Comar Mollé, a boutique law firm serving smart creators working to solve real problems and advance the common good. The firm’s clients include companies, entrepreneurs, and angel-and venture capital funds across a wide variety of industries including consumer, fintech, frontier tech, mobile app, social enterprise, and b2b spaces. Josh is a former active-duty judge advocate with the U.S Army, where he tried approximately forty cases, filed more than thirty appellate briefs and directed and cross-examined hundreds of witnesses. While at the Army Defense Appellate Division, he was lead counsel in three cases that were completely overturned, as well as numerous other cases resulting in sentence reductions or overturned convictions. As a trial defense attorney, his successes for clients included achieving a full acquittal and negotiating dismissal of multiple cases that had already been set for trial. In addition to his trial work with Comar Mollé, he maintains a separate trial practice dedicated to criminal defense, and military and veterans’ affairs. He went to law school at the University of Virginia and was an undergrad at U.C.L.A.
