Course Description
Behind the Exam: The Legal Nurse Consultant’s Point of View in Patient Advocacy and Interdisciplinary Collaboration of the Healthcare Team explores the critical role Legal Nurse Consultants (LNCs) play in bridging healthcare and the legal system. Participants will learn key responsibilities of LNCs within Defense and Independent Medical Exams (DMEs/IMEs) and how these professionals support accurate case analysis and patient advocacy. The course will also highlight proactive strategies healthcare professionals can use to prepare for potential legal or insurance-related challenges. Emphasis will be placed on interdisciplinary teamwork and how coordinated collaboration among healthcare providers strengthens medical documentation, supports defensible records, and ultimately improves patient outcomes.
