Course Description

This course provides a brief overview, both historic and current, of the law relating to hotel management agreements and franchise agreements. The concepts and principles discussed generally apply to the relationship between hotel owners and operators or franchisors and franchisees. Certain ancillary and operationally-specific issues (such as termination rights, budget approval rights, limitations on the authority of the operator and financing) will be only briefly introduced, together with elements of the financing for these projects.
