Colorado CLE Requirements

Total Credits Required:  45 hours per period


Specialty Credits Required:  7 hours ethics per period


Reporting Period: 3 years


End of Period:  Varies by attorney licensing date.


Credit Hour: 50 minutes. Attorney will earn 1 credit for every 50 minutes of instruction.


Attendance Reporting:

LawPracticeCLE does not seek accreditation for General CLE credit live webinars or live rebroadcasts in Colorado.

If an attorney attends a live webinar, he or she will submit Form 1B to have the course posted to their individual transcript.

CO attorneys may self-apply for up to 9 General CLE hours.

If an attorney is viewing an on-demand program (referred to as homestudy in Colorado), he or she will submit a Form 7.

LawPracticeCLE will provide all necessary documents for self-accreditation.

Note: CO Attorneys cannot self- apply for Ethics/Professional Responsibility credits. LawPracticeCLE will seek accreditation for live/homestudy Ethics/Professional Responsibility credits on request.

Paralegals: Should a paralegal need CLE credit, the paralegal should notify LawPracticeCLE of their paralegal status, so the Accreditation Administration team can seek accreditation with the NALA for approval in their state via reciprocity.
