Emily Shelton

Attorney Emily A. Shelton is a criminal trial lawyer who practices out of Houston, Texas. Emily’s entire practice is focused solely on criminal law. Over the course of her career, she has handled over 1,500 cases. Emily has won jury trials ranging from Aggravated Sex Assault of a Child to Murder.

Emily has been asked to lecture on topics varying from how to best to defend sex assault cases to tips for private investigators. She is also a member of the Texas Bar College.

Emily is a 7th-generation Texan. She graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She then earned her law degree from the University of Houston. Emily started her career as a prosecutor in Midland, Texas. She then came back to Houston and opened her own law firm in 2010.
