Judge Hope T. Cannon

Hope T. Cannon was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Florida in 2019. Since taking the bench, Judge Cannon has been the assigned magistrate judge on several complex cases, including the 3M and Depo Provera MDLs. She has written numerous discovery opinions involving issues related to 30(b)(6) depositions, discovery sanctions, and ESI. She recently served on the Sedona Conference Working Group 1 Brainstorming Group on the discoverability and admissibility of AI. She is also a frequent lecturer on the use of ESI and AI in litigation. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama, School of Law, and recently completed Duke Law School’s Bolch Judicial Institute Judicial Studies LLM program. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Cannon where she spent almost two decades at Bradly Arant Boult Cummings, LLP, where she tried and handled products cases, employment cases, and commercial cases across the country.
