Peter F. Mayer is a partner at Stairs Dillenbeck Finley Mayer PLLC in New York City. Peter focuses on representing climate tech start-ups, CDR suppliers and VCM marketplaces. He advises clients on carbon credit and other environmental benefit transactions for nature-based and tech-based projects in the U.S. and globally. Many of his clients are European climate tech companies expanding their operations to the U.S.
Previously, Peter was a corporate and M&A partner at Dentons, a global law firm, where he led the German energy practice before relocating to the United States in 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in constitutional law from the University of Heidelberg in Germany and is dual-qualified to practice law in both Germany and New York.
