Course Description
An overview of the factors determining the ownership of intellectual property (inventions, copyrighted materials, trade secrets, etc.) created by employees and independent contractors in the scope of their jobs. This course will cover the basics of IP ownership, identify factors that should be considered to ensure that ownership rights are properly retained or conveyed, and provide tips for crafting effective employment agreements that address IP ownership and enforcement.
