Course Description

Last year, the FTC announced that it would enact a ban on the use of employment context non-compete agreements. The ban was blocked by a district court judge before it could go into effect, but with an appeal currently underway, the future of the ban is uncertain. This leaves employers and employees in a state of uncertainty.

This seminar will address the current state of the federal ban on non-compete agreements, the likely outcomes of ongoing court challenges and best practices for employers and employees both during this time of uncertainty and in the event the ban is upheld.
