Course Description
This course is a practical overview of trust management responsibilities, with a focus on fiduciary accounting and the trustee’s duty to inform and report under the Uniform Trust Code (UTC). Attendees will learn how to identify who is entitled to trust information, distinguish between trust accounting income and taxable income, and understand the critical tasks involved in preparing a proper trust accounting. The session also includes updates on the Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act (UFIPA) and how it affects trust administration in California and beyond.
