Tatyana Ruderman, Esq., CIPP/US, AIGP

Tatyana Ruderman is a Partner at InfoLawGroup, LLP (https://www.infolawgroup.com/tatyana-ruderman), a national boutique law firm focused on privacy and data security, advertising and marketing, and technology and ranked by Chambers both globally and in the US. Tatyana has significant experience counseling and advising clients on privacy, technology, data security, marketing, and other consumer protection compliance. Tatyana’s day-to-day practice involves drafting carefully curated consumer policies, disclosures, and public-facing statements with consideration for end user experiences; steering online advertising and cookie management strategy, including customizing cookie tool functionality and design; leading data governance efforts, including data mapping and inventory, minimization, and retention; guiding internal compliance on expanding consumer rights; and vendor management, including evaluating and negotiating third-party contracts and integrations. Tatyana’s practice often involves navigating evolving technology matters and novel legal issues (such as involving cryptocurrency and blockchain, online advertising and analytics practices, precise geolocation, biometrics, and other sensitive data, use of AI/ML, recording, handling of minor and student data), including deep, hands-on experience working with clients to audit and advise in real-time on design of beta pilots and implementing policies and contracts relating to e-commerce and integrated and connected products and platforms. 

Tatyana also regularly advises clients on marketing and advertising and intellectual property issues, including those involved in consumer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions, social media, collection and use of user-generated content, and email/call/text message campaigns. Tatyana is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (“IAPP”) and is certified CIPP/US and is a certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP). Tatyana is also currently ex officio of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Privacy and Information Security Section Council.

Before joining ILG, Ruderman worked as a litigator, where she represented local and international clientele in diverse litigation and transactional matters involving Internet, privacy, entertainment, intellectual property, startup, employment, contract, and tort law matters, including cases involving claims for defamation.
