Texas CLE Requirements

Total Credits Required:  15 hours per period


Specialty Credits Required: 3 hours ethics or professional responsibility per period


Reporting Period: 1 year for seasoned attorneys 2 years or more, 2 years for attorneys licensed under 2 years


End of Period: Varies according to Attorney’s birth month


Credit Hour: 60 minutes. Attorney will earn 1 credit for every 60 minutes of instruction.


Attendance Reporting: LawPracticeCLE will report attendance.

Approval: Paralegal CLE approval is received via reciprocity with the NALA or the NFPA.


Attendance Reporting: Paralegals are required to self-report attendance.

Paralegals: Should a paralegal need CLE credit, the paralegal should notify LawPracticeCLE of their paralegal status, so the Accreditation Administration team can seek accreditation with the NALA for approval in their state via reciprocity.
