Mitchell J. Rhein is a member of Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC’s labor and employment group. Mitch has represented and counseled employers in virtually every area of employment law, but the majority of his time is spent on traditional labor and unfair competition matters. He has written extensively concerning restrictive covenants and employee mobility. You can read some these writings in “Covenants Not to Compete: A State-by- State Survey,” “Employee Duty of Loyalty: A State-by- State Survey,” “Trade Secrets: A State-by-State Survey,” and “Tortious Interference in the Employment Context: A State-by-State Survey” (American Bar Association and Bloomberg Law). Mitch earned his B.A. from Michigan State University and his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He lives with his wife in Charleston, West Virginia. Outside of work, Mitch is usually riding a bike, fishing, or playing golf.
