Hillard is a commercial litigator and trial lawyer with more than thirty years of experience successfully resolving cases through settlement, judgment, and verdict in courts and tribunals across the country. He brings a strategic, creative, and focused approach to client matters, drawing on experience from both large law firms and boutique practices.

His practice spans a wide range of commercial and insurance defense matters, including professional liability (defending agents, brokers, and financial advisors), technology system implementation disputes (representing vendors and customers), cybersecurity and data breach matters, privacy litigation, defamation claims, and intellectual property disputes. Hillard also represents companies, shareholders, and LLC members in a variety of complex business disputes.
