Christopher Nuneviller is a recognized expert in military personnel law, having served more than 15 years as a military personnel attorney both on active duty, in the military reserve, and in private practice. Mr. Nuneviller served as the Deputy Command Judge Advocate with the United States Army Human Resources Command providing advice and counsel to its 2,500-person staff on matters including the drafting and revision of more than 100 active duty and reserve military personnel and pay regulations, and is the author of more than 1,000 legal opinions related to the recruitment, evaluation, recognition, relocation, reward, discipline, discharge and retirement of the Army’s more than 1,000,000 active duty and reserve Soldiers and officers. Mr. Nuneviller also served as both a Special Assistant and Assistant to the General Counsel of the Army for operations and military personnel, and in the Immediate Office of the Secretary of Defense. In these roles, Mr. Nuneviller played a significant role in the implementation and execution of military pay, retirement, and discharge programs for the Department of the Army and for the Department of Defense, including the Integrated Disability Evaluation System. Mr. Nuneviller served as the Chief of Staff and Associate Director, Administration and Operations for the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission (“MCRMC”). MCRMC made several recommendations enacted by Congress and signed by the President to include the overhaul of the “all or nothing” military retirement system, as well as increased availability at a lower cost for medical care by Service members, retirees, and their families. Mr. Nuneviller is currently in private practice, is a Principal in MNB Meridian Law, Ltd. and MNB Meridian Defense, Ltd., and is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Christopher Nuneviller is a founding partner of MNB Meridian Law, Ltd. and the managing partner for the firm’s Philadelphia office. As a former Army judge advocate and government senior executive, Christopher spent several years in Washington, D.C., with significant time on the Pentagon “e-ring,” and later as the Chief of Staff the Military Compensation and Retirement Modernization Commission. Through that time, he developed a niche understanding of military operations under the Goldwater Nichols Act of 1986, and of military personnel policy. Two areas that are and will be directly impacted by new and potential Executive Orders issued by the White House on or after January 20, 2025.
