Dr. Tyler Cook is Assistant Program Director of the Center for AI Learning at Emory University. He is also a research affiliate in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Cook obtained his PhD from the Department of Philosophy at The Ohio State University, where he wrote a dissertation on topics in the ethics of artificial intelligence. His current research focuses on issues in machine ethics, the area of AI ethics that is concerned with questions regarding the development and deployment of ethical AI agents. He has taught courses on AI ethics and policy, engineering ethics, and contemporary social and moral problems in the U.S., among others.
