Kelly is Counsel on the firm’s national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity team. Her practice focuses on advising clients across a wide range of industries on responding to data privacy and cybersecurity incidents in compliance with state, federal, and international laws. She assists organizations with security incident investigations, breach notification obligations, public messaging and communications, and post-breach response strategies. Kelly also provides proactive counseling to help clients protect personal, sensitive, and confidential information while minimizing the risk of future data privacy incidents. She is recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
In addition to her data privacy and cybersecurity practice, Kelly has experience handling complex commercial litigation and representing clients in both state and federal courts. She earned her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
