An experienced board-certified occupational medicine physician discusses best practices for using medical evidence in legal proceedings. This course will discuss sources of medical evidence, how to interpret medical notes and test results, and how to get the best result from your medical expert especially in the setting of independent medical evaluations (IMEs).

  2. Discuss how to interpret, analyze, and understand complex medical information
  3. Discuss how to interpret medical literature when applied to legal questions
  4. Discuss best practices when obtaining independent medical evaluations
  5. Discuss methods for getting accurate and defensible opinions from your medical expert
  6. Discuss audience questions and concerns regarding the use of medical information in legal settings
